Venezuela´s Regional Assembly

  Venezuela Region

On August 30 and 31st, 2025, the 21st Assembly of the Claretians Lay of the Venezuela Region took place, with the central theme “Living Family, for the mission in the world.” Twenty-nine lay people attended it from the various active communities.

This promising Assembly filled us with much motivation and allowed us to discern the important role we play in our Christian family for this entrusted mission, a mission that, under our Venezuelan reality, must keep the flame alive in our hearts to remain rooted in adversity as good Pilgrims of Hope.

The gathering began on Saturday at 7:00 a.m. with a warm welcome from the Coordinators. They explained the house rules and officially opened the Assembly with a welcoming prayer. We started our day off on the right foot with formation sessions, activities, singing, laughter, hugs, photos, and many hours of joy. On Sunday, we continued the program with a beautiful and heartfelt celebration of the Word of God. We also held a moment of reflection and tribute to all the lay people who are experiencing health problems, those in more unstable and vulnerable situations, and those who have passed away.

In that same spirit of awareness, the election of the new council for the Venezuela Region was carried out, with almost unanimous support from those elected. The New Council was formed as follows:

  • Coordination: Crismary Corbos
  • Economy: Laura Sánchez
  • Formation: Karina Sosa
  • Communications: Yolmar Linárez
  • Spiritual Advisor: Teresa de Jesús Pérez (Cordimarian Missionary)

Our weekend culminated with a delicious lunch and the joy of continuing to be instruments in the mission entrusted to us under the spirituality and charism of Saint Anthony Mary Claret.
