Meeting of the Claretian Family in Seville

  Claretian Family

On Saturday 6 February, at the Saint Antonio Mª Claret parish of Seville (Spain), the Lay Claretians of Betica (Seville) organized the annual meeting of the four branches of the Claretian family to remember the murder attempt that Claret suffered in Holguín (1 February). Various members of the Claretian Missioners, Claretian Sisters, Sisters of Cordimarian Filiation and Lay Claretians from different parts of our province attended. We had the opportunity to catch up about the new things that we have been experiencing since summer, sharing the changes that are taking place in each branch at the organizational level in the provinces, as well as the reasons for these changes.

Secondly, we wanted to mention in particular how we are approaching the Year of Mercy declared by the Pope. Before celebrating mass together with the Seville parish, we had the opportunity to enjoy a snack at the parish halls and meet up together.

Finally, during the mass, we welcomed the entrance as full members of the Lay Claretian movement of Irene Dorado, Beatriz Alvares-Rementaría and Sebastián García, of the Mary´s Community of Seville. During the celebration of the admission rite, they publicly declared their strong willingness to become members of the movement to the assembly gathered there and in the presence of the advisor of the movement in the province (Juanjo), the advisor of the community (JA Benítez) and the training representative of the regional council (Pedro).

We, the Lay Claretians, want to thank the rest of the branches of the Claretian family for contributing to make this type of meetings so enjoyable and so we are already looking forward to the next one. We thank God for the continuous growth of our Claretian family through the coming of our brothers to the movement, for the shared moments at the meeting and for the richness of our family.

Together in Mary´s Heart.
