As we have already learned, the passage of Hurricane Eta has hit some areas and countries in Central America hard, leaving especially dramatic consequences in the north of Honduras: increased river flows, floods, landslides, interruptions in roads and drinking water and electricity services, losses in productive infrastructure…. The Sula Valley is the most affected area of the country: hundreds of families cut off from their communities, homes destroyed, loss of household goods and crops, especially basic grains.
The different branches of the Claretian Family that work and have projects in that area (SC, CMF, RMI, Cordimarian Missionary Sisters) have coordinated to jointly request an emergency aid to the FC project, SOS Claret.
From the Lay Claretians Movement we call for collaboration and solidarity with our Honduran brothers and sisters. The economic donations will be collected in the same way that we do with the other contributions. In the diffusion poster it is clearly stated.
May our prayer, our love and our closeness as a family reach them and be felt.
