A journey full of emotions!

On August 4th, our team of Claretian laity from the Meraki Peru community arrived in the city of Huancayo on an exciting journey to hold the Lay Expo, which we called “Heirs of a Dream,” at the Claretian School in the city. In this Lay Expo, our mission was to present the lay charism and thus attract new vocations – what a task!

After that, we continued our journey to Ortocuna where the Archdiocesan Catechists Retreat 2023 “Let’s Walk Together” was held, bringing together catechists from the vicariates of Huancayo.

We were received by an enthusiastic group, and as the training progressed, interactions multiplied with questions that sparked constructive debates, sharing knowledge and creating an enriching learning environment among all participants.

The time came to conclude the retreat on August 6th. The retreat participants expressed their gratitude for the experience and left satisfied, equipped with new tools and motivation to apply what they had learned in their personal and professional lives.

Likewise, the team was pleasantly satisfied with the opportunity to share knowledge and witness how participants engaged and showed enthusiasm for learning. Additionally, the importance of journeys within our country was highlighted, as they are also a source of personal and spiritual enrichment.
