On Sunday 14th October, the Region of the Caribbean of the Lay Claretian Movement carried out a Retirement about the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis titled: ON THE CALL TO HOLINESS IN TODAY’S WORLD.
To the Retirement assisted lay people from all the communities of Puerto Rico, such as: Kaleo, Claret, Jessed, San Jose and El Telar.
The afternoon of reflection began with the welcome of the Coordinator of the Region of the Caribbean Mrs. Nancy Burgos and a prayer hosted by brothers Betsy, Zaida and Gaby. Then, the lay claretian Syd Ferrán led a starting dynamics.
In that moment, the lay people divided in three groups analyzed some human situations of solidarity with other brothers. The application of these situations made us think about our relationship with God and the call He makes to us every day.
F. Héctor Cuadrado, cmf. Exposed clearly the most important aspects about the new exhortation of Pope Francis about Holiness, marked in our ideology and the realities and challenges that we, lay people face up in the current world.
We ended the meeting in front of the Blessed Sacrament, asking God communally to strengthen us in spirit so we can become a holiness testimony in the current world.
